Great Barrier Feast is making a welcome return to the Hamilton Island events calendar with a slight variation to its original concept. The event, now called the Great Barrier Feast Series, will comprise of three chef’s table weekends held throughout the year aimed at providing gourmet travellers with intriguing and meaningful food events presented by world class chefs in a world class destination.
We are delighted to confirm that acclaimed chef, Tetsuya Wakuda, will host the first event of the series which will be held on the weekend of 12-14 March 2010 and take place in two of our new luxury landmark properties on the Island - qualia and the Hamilton Island Yacht Club.
The weekend will include a beachside welcome dinner at qualia, a master class and a champagne lunch featuring a Q&A session. The weekend will conclude with a showpiece dinner when Tetsuya will take us through the preparation of his culinary delights directly from the kitchen. This will be visible to guests through a live camera link-up.
